While the stock chargecooler may be sufficient for a standard car, once additional boost is introduced through a basic remap, the original Ford radiator struggles to maintain safe temperatures. This can result in slower performance as charge air temperatures rise and the ECU is forced to limit power in response. Our upgraded Mk1 Focus RS chargecooler radiator boasts a 70mm core, 30mm larger than the OEM radiator, increasing its capacity to 9.7 litres compared to the original 5.5 litres. This represents a significant 76% increase in capacity. Even better, it is a direct fit with no additional modifications required, using all original fixings and fittings.
